 Premier Inlays designs and manufactures hardwood floor medallions, floor borders, hardwood inlays including custom and stock designs in both traditional smooth versions and beveled and distressed  or relief carved designs to coordinate with designer flooring and hand scraped-distressed hardwood flooring.

Wood floor medallions are the perfect accent in a foyer, family room or kitchen.  Hardwood borders can be used to delineate a room, accent a fireplace surround or separate rooms when installed as custom hardwood flooring thresholds.

You can customize your hardwood flooring by choosing exotic hardwoods to include in your hardwood medallions, wood borders and custom inlays.  Woods such as Bloodwood, Wenge, Satinwood, Purpleheart and Ebony can be used for dramatic effects with vivid colors.  American woods such as American Walnut, American Cherry, Maple and Mahogany are rich in texture and color and are used for subtle elegance.Premier Inlays will work with you to design a custom inlay, custom border or custom medallion. We can work from a photograph, cad line drawing, or hand drawing to create that one of a kind custom flooring design.  Premier Inlays’ Relief Carving floor designs are unique in the hardwood flooring industry.  These custom floor inlays are solid 5/16” hardwood inlays, not thin veneers or embossed or pressed word products.   The background portion of the wood borders or medallion has been “Relieved” or sanded down to accept the inlaid wood.  The inlaid wood has been hand beveled in selected areas and sits slightly higher than the relieved background.  The complete flooring designs are then carved and hand sanded.
